A friend called with some challenging news and I found myself wishing that I could offer some quick reassurance. I wanted to say, "Remember, life can change in a second !" but although I knew I had experience of this I didn't really know if my friend would find this comment of any use.
There are 60 seconds in a minute. There are 60 minutes in an hour. So there are 3600 seconds in every hour! There are 24 hours in a day. So there are 86,400 seconds in every day! There are 7 days in a week. So there are 604,800 seconds in every week! There are 52 weeks in a year. So there are 31,449,600 seconds in every year ! (ok, except leap year!)
Imagine, so many seconds, so many moments when your life can completely change! Thinking of seconds helps bring one back into the present. The present moment is in this second. This second I am writing to you :) It is what I want to do.
